Verschillende combinaties van gegoten wolfraamcarbidepoeder, macrokristallijn wolfraamcarbidepoeder, bolvormig gegoten wolfraamcarbidepoeder, gemalen WC-Co-poeder en gecementeerde carbidepellets worden gebruikt als de harde fasen om te mengen met nikkelpoeder en andere legeringen. Het matrixpoeder heeft een uitstekende gecombineerde slijtvastheid, slijtvastheid en corrosieweerstand, dwarsbreuksterkte.
